Andy Fries took over as the new Ohio Northern head coach in mid-December of 2023. ONU was 4-6 overall and 4-5 in the Ohio Athletic Conference in 2023.

Fries comes to ONU on the heels of four seasons as an assistant coach at Rose-Hulman (Ind.). He served as offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at R-H from 2020-23.

In 2023, offensive coordinator Fries coached the high-powered Engineers offense to 20 th place in Division III scoring. The R-H offense also finished 13th nationally in sacks allowed.

Fries previously coached one season at Davenport (Mich.) in 2018, and for three seasons at his alma mater Otterbein from 2015-17.
