Beruldsen talk about International Women's Flag Football
On Thursday May 2, from 7:00-8:00 p.m. in the Dicke Forum, Phi Beta Delta, the honorary for international scholars, will host a talk by Diane Beruldsen of the International Women's Flag Football Association.
Beruldsen has been spreading the game of women's flag football around the world for the past 20 years. She has spread the sport to Scandinavia, North Africa, Central and South America, and Central Asia, among other places. She will be talking about how she uses the American game to empower women in other countries to take more control over their sporting and non-sporting lives.
Beruldsen is in Ada to put on a tournament that will be held on May 4-5 at Dial Roberson Stadium.
The talk is free and open to the public.
