BLUFFTON __ The Ada High School boys track and field team finished fourth at the annual Northwest Conference championship meet in Bluffton University’s Salzman Stadium Saturday, May 11.
Columbus Grove captured the boys team crown with 162 points, followed by Bluffton (123) and Lincolnview (102). The Ada boys scored 71.5 points to beat Spencerville, Allen East, Crestview, Leipsic and Delphos Jefferson.
Grove won the girls team title with 173.5 points. Bluffton took second with 127 points, followed by Spencerville in third.
The Bulldog girls tallied 39.33 points to finish seventh, ahead of Crestview and Leipsic.

Thursday’s scheduled first day of action was canceled due to rain.
Ada senior ace Jackson Brown repeated as 110-meter high hurdles NWC champion. Brown also captured third in the 200-meter dash and came in fourth in the 100 meters.
Junior Kennedy Jones took second in the shot put to post the top Ada girls finish.
Ada senior Mariah King took third in the high jump.
Sophomore Jordyn Smith finished third in the 400 meters.
Allen East junior speedster Rilynn Jones repeated as NWC 300-meter hurdles champion.
Ada hosts the district meet Thursday, May 16/Saturday, May 18.
