ONU golfer Honigford named All-Great Lakes Region

LEXINGTON, Ky.__ONU Senior Grace Honigford (West Chester/Lakota East) was named All-Great Lakes Region for 2023-24 by the Women's Golf Coaches Association.
The award was given at the banquet for the NCAA III Women's Golf Championships on Monday night, May 20. She is now a two-time All-Region award winner.
Honigford is a four-time All-OAC pick and was Medalist or Co-Medalist of three OAC Championships. She was also named Ohio Northern's female winner of the prestigious Clyde Lamb Award.
Honigford is ONU's all-time career average leader at 78.02 strokes per round for 83 rounds, which is also a school record. She also holds school records for 18 holes (68), 36 holes (143), 54 holes (223) and 72 holes (302). Honigford also holds the three lowest single-season averages.
This season, Honigford leads the league with a 75.6 average for 23 rounds.
The Polar Bears will compete at the NCAA III Championships Tuesday-Friday at Keene Trace Golf Course in Nicholasville, Ky.
