Lt. Governor Husted to join celebration of Wilson factory investment
Lt. Governor Jon Husted will be the distinguished guest speaker at a July 8 community ribbon-cutting event at the Wilson Football Factory hosted by the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce and Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance.
Beginning at 9:30 a.m., the event is open to all community members. Attendees will have the chance to book factory tours, explore the gift shop, and visit the museum area at the new, $15M facility at 517 E Highland Ave.
“Wilson footballs are an iconic brand and the essential element of America’s most popular sport.” said Lt. Governor Jon Husted in an advance statement. “Whether it is an NFL quarterback on Sunday afternoon or a dad and kid tossing the ball around in the backyard, we can take pride in the fact that the source of their enjoyment was made in Ohio. On behalf of the state of Ohio, I’d like to congratulate the Wilson team on their expansion and for continuing to invest in the Buckeye State.”
Husted played football for the University of Dayton where he earned All-American honors as a cornerback and kick returner. He was a starter on UD's 1989 NCAA Division III national championship team.
