Obituary for Margie Jordan
Margie Jordan, age 87, of Lima, passed away at her residence on Sunday, July 21, 2024, surrounded by her family.
She was born September 23, 1936 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Chub and Audrey (Holiday) Wireman. On July 16, 1955 Margie married Lyman Jordan and he preceded her in death on May 22, 2012.
Margie is survived by her daughter, Vicky (Tom) Gilbert of Lima; six grandchildren: Kyle (Ashley) Jordan, Ryan Jordan, Nicholas (Tina) Gilbert, Ashley (David) Smith; Nicole (Bill) Clark and Jennifer Gilbert; many great grandchildren; and seven sisters: Sola Curtis of Elida, Sue (Ronnie) Risner of Alger, Eva (Bud) Downing of Lima, Betty (Tom) Arborgast of Lakeview, Ruth (Charlie) Hollon of Lima, Maude Manley of Lima and Emma (Randy) Clark of Ada.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ron Jordan on July 10, 1995; three sisters: Phyllis Wireman, Peach Dye and Bonnie Counts; and a brother, Henry Ben Wireman.
Margie loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and sisters. She spent her life taking care of her family, she enjoyed talking, visiting and cooking for them. Margie enjoyed working in her yard and making friends with her neighbors.
Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Pastor Ray Hadley officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ada Family Center, 4073 State 309, Ada, Ohio 45810.
The family would like to thank Bridge Hospice for the care they provided to Margie.
