Ada Barnyard Farmers 4-H report for August 2024
On Sunday, August 11 the Ada Barnyard Farmers had a meeting at 6 p.m. We first took attendance and then Derrick Dennis created a game for the group members to play call Crows & Cranes.
After we played Crows and Cranes, our advisors talked about our fair booth and how everyone can pitch in and help set it up. We also talked about helping set up the poultry tent.
After our unfinished business talk, demonstrations were done. Carson Underwood demonstrated on how to properly walk in a marching band, Micheal Williams showed how to properly handle a basketball, Dallas Williams demonstrated on how to pitch a softball, Caleb Couch demonstrated his chicken, Kaylie Couch showed on how to trim your chickens beak, Zyler Long demonstrated on how to throw a football in a perfect spiral and Zen Long showed the group on how to properly kick a soccer ball.
After all the presentations, the group members held a 2nd practice showmanship for kids to study on how to properly demonstrate their animal at fair.
