Ada golfers 2nd at quadrangular

BLUFFTON __ The Ada High School boys golf team finished a strong second in a four-team match at the Bluffton Golf Course, August 16.
Arcadia won the event with 198 strokes. Ada edged Hardin Northern 202-203 to take second, while Delphos Jefferson was last at 215 shots.
With the solid result the Bulldogs improved to 4-4 this season, their best start in years.
Sophomore Brody Rister paced Ada with a low round of 43. He finished tied for second out of the 21 golfers in the competition, one shot off the leader.
Ada senior Ethan Lawrence carded a 49 to come in second among the Bulldog linksters.
Sophomore Lawson Klingler posted a round of 52, while junior Sam Crawford registered a total of 58 as the fourth Ada scorer.
Freshman Grady Morgan added a nine-hole score of 76.
Polar Bear Justin Thiel was match medalist with a 42 on the par-36 nine. HN teammate Preston Grappy finished fifth with a 46.
Arcadia’s Owen Green and Aiden Cline tied with Rister for second with a round of 43.
