Tony VanHoose served in the U.S. Army National Guard
Tony VanHoose, age 63, of Dola, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024 at his residence.
He was born on August 29, 1960 in Lima, Ohio to the late Ralph and Beatrice (Barnett) VanHoose. On June 3, 2005 Tony married Anna “Sue” VanHoose and she survives in Dola.
Also surviving is his daughter, Misty Leigh (Lucio) Jenkins of Roundhead; three step children: Stacey (Jeremiah) Hensley of Alger, Stephanie (Mark) Hays of Kenton and William Minix of McGuffey; two grandchildren: Alyssa Miller and Jaycee Allen; eight step grandchildren: Jeremy Hensley, Jacob Hensley, Hunter Hensley, Drayton Palmer, Fiona Hays, Stella Hays, Haylee Minix, and Isaiah Minix; and three great grandchildren: Princeton, Aria and Jasmine.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert Kretz and Daniel Kretz; and a sister, Pamela Gaither.
Tony worked for Graham Packaging Co., Findlay. He was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard. Tony was a member of the McGuffey Conservation Club.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger with Rev. Bill Prater officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
