Ada's latest news

As crazy as it sounds during either the 1952 or 1956 presidential election you could purchase a cigarette pack promoting your favorite candidate. This is just one example of presidential campaigning items on display at the Ada Public Library. The collection was put together by students in an ONU Public History class taught by David Strittmatter. Check out additonal photos here.

With the help of 15 volunteer rainfall reporters, the Hardin County Extension office has collected unofficial township rainfall data for the past 28 consecutive years.

The 2020 growing season began with some early planting in April followed by wet fields for most of May.

This caused issues with ponding, replanting, and some crops getting planted later than planned.

Once crops did get planted, the months of June and July brought a dry period with parts of Hardin County being in a moderate drought area as determined by the U.S. Drought Monitor.

Positions is a solid effort for Ariana Grande, although there is nothing new here

Positions is the sixth studio album by American singer and actress Ariana Grande, released on Oct. 30, 2020, by Republic Records.

The album builds on the R&B and trap pop elements of Grande’s earlier efforts, Sweetener (2018) and Thank U, Next (2019). There is also a good amount of hip hop, neo-soul, and funk featured on Positions.
