Last week the Icon posted the 1961 Ada High School H-Y boys club. Here's the accompanying club, the girls Y-Teens from the same school year.

Names of members are part of the yearbook photograph.

You can get a neck ache looking at books that fit vertically on a library shelf. The Icon takes the pain out of looking at this section of used books for sale by donation at the Ada Public Library. We rotated the photo counter-clockwise, so you can see what's ready to take home and read.

Herbert L. Corbet, 82, passed away on Friday, Oct. 30, 2020, at 11:14 p.m. at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.

He was born on March 1, 1938, in Harrod, Ohio, to the late Harry C. and Mary C. (Carle) Corbet. Herbert was married to Jeanette Gleason and she preceded him in death on Feb. 11, 1989.  He later married Beverly McFarland and she survives in Ottawa.  

Herbert retired after 30 years from the Ford Motor Company of Lima. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served from Sept. 2, 1956, to Feb. 25, 1957.   Herbert enjoyed gardening outside, trains, cars and his guns.

Area voters have a date with the election board on Tuesday, Nov. 3. That is if they have not already voted, and plan to vote in person.

In August it was announced by the board of elections that Ada north and south polling location has moved from Community Health Professionals to 1986 Ada school gym.

The Liberty Township precinct voters will vote at Center on Central in downtown Ada. The polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
