Bulldog volleyball downed by Rockets

PANDORA - The Ada High School volleyball team concluded its first Blanchard Valley Conference season with a three-set loss at tough Pandora-Gilboa Monday night, October 6.
P-G swept Ada 25-19, 25-12, 25-11.
With the loss, the Bulldogs fell to 10-11 overall and finished 3-7 in the BVC to end up eighth in the 11-team league standings.
P-G improved to 15-5 overall and 8-1 in BVC play with the sweep to stay tied for second place with Liberty-Benton. Leipsic leads the BVC at 9-0.
Ada senior Tess Griffith led the way with nine kills and seven digs.
Sophomore Brooklyn Andreasen knocked down six kills. Sophomore Dailah Preston added four kills.
Senior libero Jenna Bassitt mustered 13 digs to bring her career total to 1,028. She also served one ace.
Sophomore Jaylin St. Laurent passed out 23 assists, hustled up seven digs and served one ace. Junior Anna Conley authored four blocks.
Junior Alyssa Madison came up with eight digs. Senior Natilyn McClain added six digs.
The Ada reserves won 2-1 to improve to 10-9 this season.
Ada visits traditional arch-rival USV (1-13) Tuesday, Oct. 8 to finish its regular season.
The Bulldogs then face Hardin Northern (10-6) at New Knoxville in first round tournament action Thursday, Oct. 17.
