Ada gridders Amos, Green 1st team all-district
5 Bulldogs earn HM

ADA – Two Ada High School football players were recently named to the Div. VII All-Northwest District first team in football by a local Ohio Prep Sportswriter Association media panel.
Bulldog senior quarterback Levi Green was named to the first team district offense at the “athlete” position. Green led the Blanchard Valley Conference in rushing yardage. He accounted for just under 2,700 yards in total offense and 30 touchdowns.
In 11 games, he netted 1,530 rushing yards on 163 attempts (9.4 avg. per rush). He ran for 16 touchdowns. Green also completed 90 of 140 passes (64.2 pct.) for 1,163 yards. He tossed 14 aerial TDs with four interceptions.
Ada senior lineman Dalton Amos also was named to the first team offense. The 6-2, 290-pound two-way standout dominated both sides of the ball on the interior line.
Five other Bulldogs earned honorable mention all-district notice.
Senior running back Kaine Fisher, senior lineman Landon Simon, junior receiver/defensive back Kayleb Hickman, junior linebacker Zack Zimmerman and sophomore kicker Andrew Allen were named HM all-district.
Fisher netted 934 yards rushing this season on 126 carries (7.4 avg.). He scored 19 touchdowns.
Simon was one of the team leaders in tackles and sacks.
Hickman caught 28 passes for 413 yards (14.8 avg.) and three TDs. He also led Ada with four interceptions.
Zimmerman led the team with 78 tackles, 13 of which went for losses.
Allen booted a perfect 37 of 37 on extra points and added one field goal for 40 points.
Ada concluded the season 8-3 after a first round playoff loss to Leipsic. It was their first playoff appearance since 2017. The Bulldogs finished 6-2 in the Blanchard Valley Conference to end up third.
Columbus Grove running back Trenton Barraza was named the Div. VII district Offense Player of the Year.
