Seven area dancers from Rhythm In Motion Dance Centre of Ada participated in the 2013 Outback Bowl pregame and halftime shows on New Year’s Day, according to Darcey Schneider, studio owner.

Schneider told The Icon that she submitted an audition tape last January to Just For Kix, the organization in charge of the pregame and halftime shows, and secured a spot for the group of dancers when RIMDC made the cut and was invited to perform in this amazing opportunity.

The No. 15 Ohio Northern women's basketball team extended their winning streak to 10 games with a 83-50 victory at Adrian (Mich.), Saturday afternoon at Merillat Gymnasium.

The Polar Bears are now 11-1 on the season, while the Bulldogs fall to 3-8.

Junior Cenzie Yoder led the way for ONU with 18 points on 8-of-12 shooting. She also grabbed seven rebounds.

All 14 players who appeared in the game for Northern scored at least two points.

ONU used a 19-0 run to open up a 30-11 lead with 7:15 left in the first half.
