On Friday, July 2, the newly constructed roundabout at State Route 103 and Navajo Dr. opened to through traffic.

Two businesses on Pocano Dr.--Luvu A Latte and Knights Inn--can be accessed by turning onto Navajo from the roundabout and then turning onto Pocano from the south.

During construction of the roundabout, there have been westbound and then eastbound detours.

Every now and then, I like to remind Icon readers why I moderate comments on our Facebook pages. My goal is to ensure that the information we share on Facebook is accurate and aligned with our news website focus.

On Saturday, July 11, car, truck, bike and import vehicle owners wil gather at Ada's War Memorial Park for a little friendly competition at the annual Park in the Park show organized by Ada VFW Post 9381. The following information was provided by VFW Auxiliary president J.D. Fleece 

Registration will be open from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., with awards presented at 4:00 p.m. Registration is $15 per entry.

The event's major raffle will be a Sarka custom fire ring.

Culvert replacement planned

MEDIA RELEASE__ODOT District 1 has announced the following traffic advisory:

State Route 235 between County Road 20 and Township Road 30 will close Monday, July 20, for approximately five days for a culvert replacement.

The marked detour route will be SR 81 to U.S. 68 to U.S. 30, back to SR 235.

FROM FACEBOOK__The Hardin County Board of Elections posted that a pseudo-official looking voter registration mailing was brought to its attention on July 2.

Director Amy Purcell told the Icon that registered voters and family members of deceased voters contacted the board regarding letters they received from Ready to Register, Inc.. Purcell recommends that individuals use the official VoteOhio.gov website to determine if they are registered.
