The Village of Ada Council met in regular session on September 15. The meeting was conducted by Mayor Dave Retterer with all council members present. The meeting packet is here.
PUBLIC FORUM
Ada resident Kevin Wagner addressed council regarding a video recording of a complaint about him. Wagner expressed concern about the video's existence and questioned the village's retention policy, specifically highlighting a five-day retention window. He urged the council and administration to change their ways.

During September 1928, Scottish bacteriologist Alexander Fleming discovered the basic substance that evolved into the isolation of the antibiotic penicillin in 1930 by Howard Florey and Ernst Chain. The use of penicillin was recognized as a life-saving medication for treating soldiers during World War II. The three scientists were awarded a Nobel Prize in 1945 for this important discovery.
FROM FACEBOOK__Officer Penny will be hosting Bingo on Tuesday, September 29 at the Ada Public Library. The event will take place at 7:00 p.m. and all ages are welcome to play.
Ohio Northern University first-year honors students will hold a Trike-A-Thon on Tuesday, October 6 from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. as a fundraiser for St. Jude’s Research Hospital. This event will be held at the ONU Early Childhood Education Center, 212 Union St.
The tricycle course is suited for kids ages 2-6, but there will be booths with fun activities for kids of all ages.
FROM FACEBOOK__Angie Hall, the administrative assistant at Ada Exempted Village School District has been named the 2026 OMLA Regional Administrative Assistant of the Year for Northwest Ohio.
According to the Ada Bulldogs Facebook page, "For more than 27 years, Mrs. Hall has brought dedication, professionalism, and a willingness to always go above and beyond to Ada Schools. Her impact on our students, staff, families, and community is truly appreciated."
Hall will be formally honored with her award at the OMLA Fall Conference in November.
