BELOW AHS Signing Day YouTube video from Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance

FROM FACEBOOK__Last week, Ada High School hosted its “3E” Assembly, recognizing and celebrating members of the Class of 2026 as they prepare for life after graduation.

Ohio high schools are actively hosting “3E” (Enrolled, Enlisted, Employed) signing events to honor graduating seniors committing to college, the military, or the workforce. At Ada, students proudly signed to declare their plans for the next step in their journey after high school.

FROM FACEBOOK__From the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce: Third Thursdays are back in Ada—May through December. Join us each month in downtown Ada for an evening of shopping, dining, and supporting your favorite local businesses. Many of our Chamber members will be open late with specials, promotions, and plenty of small-town charm. Mark your calendars and make it a monthly tradition: shop local and soak up the season with us! 

MEDIA RELEASE__Memorial Day services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, 5134 SR 235, on Monday, May 25 at 1:00  p.m. This event is cosponsored by Ream McElroy Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9381 and Foss-Agin-Meyer American Legion Post 185. 

Particpating in the ceremony are the VFW Color Guard; Ada High School Band directed by Mr. Benjamin Hemming; reading by Callie Burgess, American Legion Buckeye Girls State Representative, guest speaker CSM (Retired) Allen Conley, and TAPS player Justin Bowden. 

Following this event, there will be a short service at Preston Cemetery, 3131 Co Rd 90, Alger.

FROM ONU.EDU__Just in time for summer cruising, 15 Ada Elementary third- and fourth-graders received brand-new bicycles, thanks to a collaborative after-school STEM program sponsored by Ohio Northern University.

In addition to new wheels, helmets, and accessories, the students also gained a foundational understanding of engineering principles, bike maintenance, and biking safety.

Ohio Northern University streamed the YouTube video below of the 2026 Undergraduate/MSA Commencement, which took place at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, at the ONU Sports Center Field House.
