The Freed Center for the Performing Arts has announced thirteen productions to be included in the 2026-2027 season. Dance, drama, musicals and live music will be presented at the 551-seat Biggs Theatre and 136-seat Stambaugh Studio Theatre (listed and linked below).

MEDIA RELEASE__The Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities is partnering with the Johnny Appleseed Park District to host an adaptive kayaking event on July 21 and 22. This event will be held at Lima Lake at Ottawa Metro Park from 10:00 AM- 2:00 PM.
Over the two days, participants will be able to kayak for about 20 minutes each. Participants can also enjoy karaoke, the JAPD beetle van, corn hole and other activities.
All action items were approved, including the waiver of student school fees for 2026-2027. This will be the third year that the school board has waived student fees. The approximate cost of fees waived has not yet been estimated.
