The Ohio Northern University Metzger Nature Center will celebrate its 25th anniversary with an open house and picnic on Saturday, Sept. 6, at 1 p.m.
ONU alumni and guests will have the opportunity to tour the grounds and participate in a number of family-friendly outdoor activities led by ONU students.
The Alger Memorial Festival Committee is sponsoring a country-style breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014. Serving biscuits, sausage gravy, hash-browns, scrambled eggs, fried apples, sausage patties and beverage.
Suggested donation is $7.00. All-you-can-eat (on premises only). Carry out is available. Can’t get there? Call 419- 679-8460 (not long distance) for free local delivery.

Parents, teachers, and students know it’s about that time. Ada Schools resumed classes for the 2014-2015 school on Monday, August 18th. Ohio Northern undergraduate courses are scheduled to resume on Monday, August 25th.
Those involved in back to school activities have their to-do lists full. Those who aren’t directly involved in activities make think the bustle at this time of year have nothing to do with them.
But here are a few things for everyone to keep in mind:
Ohio Northern University’s Department of Education and the Center for Teacher Education will present “Leading from the Heart” in the James F. Dicke Hall forum on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, and a reception will follow in the atrium of Dicke Hall. Prospective students and their families, teacher candidates, local educators and ONU faculty are all invited to attend.
