Amanda Raines, 4-H Youth Development Educator in Hardin County, was recognized as Hardin County's Outstainding Fair Supporter at a breakfast hosted by the Ohio Department of Agriculture at the Ohio Fair Manager's Association annual convention on Friday, January 3.
Amanda's passion for the youth of Hardin County goes well beyond the duties of her job description. She invests countless hours specifically at our fair including working with our Junior Fair Board, assisting with ribbons and awards, supporting junior fair entries, assisting with risk management and so much more.
She is pictured with Ohio's Director of Agriculture Brian Baldridge and 2024 Hardin County Fair Queen, Aidra Preston, a top-5 finalist in the 2025 Ohio Fairs' Queen competition.
The competition began on Thursday, January 2 with interview rounds, in which the field of 79 contestants from county and independent fairs across Ohio was narrowed to a top 5, including Preston. The winner was announced Saturday morning after the General Session, in which Preston placed as 3rd runner up. The 2025 Ohio Fairs' Queen is Amberly Szczerbiak of Fayette County.
Congratulations to all who competed.
