Thomas G. Bennett worked for Allen County Engineers
Thomas G. Bennett, age 73, passed away on January 20, 2025, in Lima, Ohio. Born August 4, 1951, he was a lifelong resident of the area.
A graduate of Allen East High School, Tom furthered his education at Hocking Technical College. He then worked for the Allen County Engineers, where he dedicated 30 years of service before retiring.
An avid outdoorsman, Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his beloved Jack Russell Terriers which were a constant source of joy and companionship. He also spent six decades collecting North American Indian artifacts, a passion he pursued with great dedication.
Tom was a good and dependable friend and brother who was always willing to lend a helping hand.
He is survived by his siblings: Scott (Pat) Bennett of Strawberry Plains, TN; Cindy (Jerry) Maus of LaFayette, OH, and Ann G. (Francisco) Becerra of Fulshear, TX. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law, Barbara Bennett of Boulder City, NV as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Waldo and Jane Bennett of Lafayette and his brother, Randy Bennett, of Boulder City, NV.
He was a member of the LaFayette Congregational Christian Church
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
