Joanne Ruth Amsler was an STNA
Joanne Ruth Amsler, age 93, of Dola, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at her home.
She was born on February 13, 1932 in Ada, Ohio to Leonard Pearl and Marjorie (Cochran) Wright, Sr. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents and foster parents: Oscar and Grace Patterson. She was previously married to Clyde “Sonny” Amsler.
Joanne is survived by her four daughters: Jeannie (Paul) Barlow of Kenton, Diana Webb of Dola, Sharon (Ron) Frey of Wapakoneta and Sue Rollins of Hillard; two daughters-in-law: Karen Marling and Donita Amsler; twenty grandchildren: Misty Clary, Teresa (Steve) McLane, Duane Osborn, Shannon Lanker, Roger (Becki) Scott, Tyler (Amy) Scott, Eric (Chelsey) Barlow, Aaron (Amanda) Barlow, Benjamin Barlow, Michael (Shelly) Marling, Gary (Lori) Brace, Jennifer Marling, Brad (Mollie) Kalb, Gregory Kalb, Jolene (Bobby) Scott, Rob Amsler, Austin Amsler, Adam Amsler, Shelby Amsler, and Tara Spallinger; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and a half-brother, Howard Wright.
She was preceded in death by her two sons: Robert Amsler and Michael Marling; a grandson, Heath Marling; two brothers: Leonard Wright, Jr and Leslie Wright; and half-brother, Mack Tarr.
Joanne retired from Kenton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, where she worked as a STNA and previously worked at numerous factories. She was a member of Sugar Grove Methodist Church, Ada. Joanne was a pianist and enjoyed helping with her grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
