3 Bulldogs wrestle at district meet in Troy

TROY __ Three Ada High School wrestlers competed at the double-elimination Div. III district tournament at Hobart Arena, February 28-March 1.
Bulldog junior Silas Riblet lost his first match in the 126 lbs. class to Newark Catholic sophomore Max Childers by pin at 1:53.
In the consolation bracket, Riblet bounced back to win his next match by pin at 2:45 over freshman Hudson Baxter of South Charleston SE.
In his next consolation bout on Saturday, Riblet lost a tight 11-10 decision to sophomore Luke Neukam of Clermont Northeastern. He was eliminated with a 1-2 record at the event.
Riblet ended his season with a fine 25-14 record.
Ada senior Landon Simon lost his first two matches Friday and was eliminated. He fell in his first match by technical fall 15-0 to junior Brody Adams of Springfield Catholic Central.
In his first consolation bracket bout, Simon dropped a 17-9 decision to East Clinton senior Owen Roberts. Simon finished his season with a sparkling 31-7 record.
Ada junior Zaiden Denslow lost his first match Friday at the 120 lbs. bracket to Carlisle senior Taven Norris via pin at 2:23.
In his first consolation bracket bout, Denslow lost to West Jefferson freshman Jacob Acevedorena by fall in 90 seconds to be eliminated.
He ended his season 6-25.
Graham Local dominated the team event, winning the district title with 299.5 points. Miami East came in a distant second with 109 points.
Allen East came in 18th with 30.5 points. Ada finished in a tie for 48th with three points.
