Anabel R. McBride worked for Ada Exempted Village Schools
Anabel R. McBride, age 89, of Ada, went to be with the Lord on April 26, 2025 at Vancrest of Ada.

Anabel was a stay-at-home mom until her children reached school age. She was always involved with their many school activities. She retired after 27 years from Ada Exempted Village Schools where she was a teacher’s aide. She was an avid reader and loved sharing reading skills and stories with the hundreds of students whose lives she touched. When she was not reading, she enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, sewing, crocheting and solving word puzzles. Anabel loved to, and was remembered for, sending greeting cards for all occasions to her many family members and friends.
Anabel’s love for her Lord and Savior was evident in the way she lived her daily life. Until recently, Anabel was an active member of Ada First Baptist Church where she was involved through the years in children’s and women’s ministries, music and visitor outreach. She was the church secretary for many years.
Surviving are Anabel’s Ada family: daughter, Annette (Del) Cogar of Ada; granddaughter, Patricia (Hugh) Phillips; and great-grandchildren: Johnathan and Shaina Phillps.
