Obituary for Marlene A. Kindle
Marlene A. Kindle, age 90, of Lima, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
She was born on August 21, 1934 in Bluffton, Ohio to the late Clarence and Mildred (Zahrend) Gleason. Marlene married Lester Kindle on June 25, 1954 and he preceded her in death on April 6, 1980.
Marlene is survived by her two children: Kenneth (Patsy) Kindle of Harrod and Patricia (Tim) Lovett of Lima; daughter-in-law, Sue (Tom) Foster of Harrod; eight grandchildren: Matt Lovett, Michelle Lovett, Ashley (Steven) Castillo, Ryan Kindle, Austin (Cora) Kindle, Sarah Kindle, Rachel (Jared) Huffman and Kyle (Janine) Kindle; and six great grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death is her son, Robert “Bob” Kindle; and two brothers: Dan Gleason and Mick Gleason.
Marlene attended Union Chapel Missionary Church, Lima. She was a longtime volunteer at Lima Memorial Hospital. Marlene was a very family-oriented person.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2025 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Pastor Allen Sudmann officiating.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Monday, April 7 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Union Chapel Missionary Church, 4869 Ada Road, Lima, Ohio 45801 and/or the charity of the donor’s choice.
