Provided by Ada High School
Senior Aidra Preston had her art juried into the Governor's Youth Art Exhibition. The show opens April 20th at the Rhodes State Office Tower and runs until May 15th.
Aidra's work is a dress made out of soybean bags and bedding bags.
This past weekend Aidra received a scholarship offer from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design based on her dress that is in the show.
They wrote:
"During the review process, your piece demonstrated a strong sense of creativity and dedication to your craft. Great work on your artistic achievements! MIAD is pleased to offer you a merit scholarship starting at a minimum of $22,000 / per year. (Higher scholarships are available based on your completed application materials.)
Aidra will be turning down this scholarship offer.
She plans to attend UNOH and study Ag Business.
