Bulldog boys track wins Hardin County meet

MT. BLANCHARD – The Ada High School boys track and field team won the annual five-team Hardin County Invitational meet hosted by Riverdale on Wednesday, May 7.

The Bulldog boys scored 93.33 points to nose out Riverdale by four points for the tightly-contested title. Kenton was a close third at 85 points, four behind the host Falcons.

Ridgemont came in fourth (47.33), followed by Hardin Northern (37).

Host Riverdale easily captured the girls team crown with 154 points. Kenton was second (88.5), followed by Ada in a close third-place finish (83.5). HN ended up a distant fourth with 14 points, followed by last-place Ridgemont (13).

Ada senior speedster Logan Jolliff again swept to first in the 100 and 200-meter dash races to pace the Bulldog boys to the county crown. 

Junior Kayleb Hickman won the long jump. 

Ada also captured first in three of the four male relay races as Jolliff anchored the winning 4x100 and 4x200 relay quartets. McGue, Brody Erickson, Hickman and Gavin Oldfield also ran for those winning relay teams.

The foursome of Erickson, McGue, Wyatt Fisher and Hickman sped to first in the 4x400 relay.

Versatile junior Jordyn Smith won the 100-meter dash and the long jump to top the Ada girls.
