Floyd L. Cleveland was a U.S. Army veteran
Floyd L. Cleveland, age 87, of Harrod, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Lima Memorial Health System.
Floyd was born on January 2, 1938 in Johnsburg, NY to the late James and Katherine (Martin) Cleveland. Floyd first married Dena Wescot and she preceded him in death in 1999. He later married Sara Weddle and she preceded him in death in 2017.
He retired from Barton Garnet Mine where he worked as a machinery operator. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Floyd was a member of the LaFayette Congregational Christian Church.
He is survived by two children: Donald Cleveland of Ticonderoga, NY and Dwight Cleveland of Bluffton; two step-daughters: Marilyn (Jim) Williams of LaFayette and Leesa (Danny Jones) Robb of Dearborn, MO; a step son-in-law, David Contris of Harrod; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Floyd was preceded in death by a son and daughter: Douglas Cleveland and Lorraine Cleveland-Stanfield; two step children: Beverly Contris and David Weddle; and two sisters.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Pastor Charles Moeller officiating.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service on Tuesday, May 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
