Funding issues pass for Liberty Twp and Sheriff’s services
Unofficial results for May 6 election

In unofficial primary election results for May 6, 2025, the Hardin County Board of elections reports that Liberty Township voters approved a Property Tax Replacement for the purpose of current expenses. The issue had previously failed in the November 2024 general election.
For the Tax Levy - 232 votes - 59.64%
Against the Tax Levy - 155 votes - 39.85%
In a Republican primary for Ada Village Council, incumbent council member Jason Campbell received nine more votes than Lucas Rowe. Four council seats will be open at the end of 2025.

Hardin County voters approved the Hardin County Sheriff Issue renewing a tax supporting criminal justice services and collecting an estimated $677K annually. The issue had previously failed in the November 2024 general election.
For the Tax Levy - 1,467 votes - 62.77%
Against the Tax Levy - 857 votes - 36.67%
Hardin County voters elected Republican Andrew R. Tudor as Municipal Court Judge for a full term commencing 1/1/2026. He defeated appointed incumbent Colleen M. O’Connell by a narrow margin.
Colleen M. O'Connell - 903 votes - 48.37%
Andrew R. Tudor - 929 votes - 49.76%
Some 54.60% of Hardin County voters approved State Issue 2, which passed on the state level with 67.76% of Ohio voters saying yes to the Constitutional Amendment to fund public infrastructure capital improvements by permitting the issuance of general obligation bonds.
