Ohio Newsroom features Ada Public Library in funding discussion
The Ohio Newsroom's Kendall Crawford visited the Ada Public Library and Mary Lou Johnson Hardin County District Library in Kenton for a May 12 report Ohio rural libraries struggle to plan, amid federal and state funding uncertainty.
Computer and smartphone tutoring at Ada Public Library was highlighted as an example of services with uncertain futures. Other programs relying on state funding are talking books for the visually impaired, free resources for school libraries and book sharing programs. Grants for summer reading programs have been delayed.
