Olive Jeannette (Moorman) Morgan worked at Greene Memorial Gift Shop

Olive Jeannette (Moorman) Morgan, age 88, formerly of Jamestown, Ohio, passed away on May 27, 2025 at Vancrest of Ada Assisted Living. She was born February 25, 1937 in St. Ignace to Ralph and Olive J. (Boyd) Moorman. She married Carl W. Morgan on June 26, 1970.

Jeannette is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret (Moorman) Hall and Merl E. Hall of LaFayette; two nephews: Scott (Darla) Hall of LaFayette and Scott (Heather) Morgan of Jamestown; four nieces: Erin (Larry) Price of Mt. Cory, Jennifer (Brian) Stevens of Bellefontaine, Ester (Pat) Browder of Fairborn and Cherie (Kevin) McCormick of Clayton; along with many great and great-great nephews and nieces.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Ralph Moorman, and her niece, Cynthia Mowery.

Jeannette worked at Greene Memorial Gift Shop in Xenia for many years. She was a graduate of Ada High School in 1955. She also attended and graduated from Bliss College in Columbus in 1960. She loved to travel with her husband when he was in the service. She also was an avid quilter and reader. She would also correct you if you didn’t spell her name with two N’s and T’s. 

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada. Graveside service will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, June 2nd in Fairview Cemetery, Jeffersonville.  

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday, June 2 from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.

Memorial contributions may be made to Semper Fi & American’s Fund at www.thefund.org/ or 825 College Blvd, Suite 102 PMB 609, Oceanside, CA 92057 in Jeannette’s name as a dependent of a deceased Marine.
