Ada Athletic Boosters, Pony Pals Horse Club consult with Park board

The next meeting of the Park Board is July 21, 2025 

JUNE 21 MEDIA RELEASE

June 16, 2025 meeting

The Park District Liberty Twp. Hardin County, Ohio met on the above date in the park office. Present  were Bob Szuch, Fred Reichert, Neal Dumbaugh, Ken Wolke and Mary Jane Lee. Guests  present were the architect from TDG Technicon Design Group who showed some renderings of  the new shelter house and the new concession stand for the stadium. Also present were members  of the Pony Pals Horse Club. They have had several events at the park and have raised money to put some solar lights in the horse area. Present were Kristie Haden and Ken Jochims representing the Ada Athletic Boosters. They were trying to finalize the inside of the concession stand with the architect.

The minutes were read and approved. Fred made a motion to accept the minutes and Neal seconded the motion. All were in favor and the motion carried. The financial report was read and  approved. Neal made a motion to accept the financial report and Fred second the motion. All  were in favor and the motion passed. 

Ken brought up a need to find something to put on the bottom of the visitor side bleachers since during a soccer match the ball goes under the bleachers and then someone has to crawl under and get it. The track job should start this week and the new lights in two weeks. Ken reported the restroom gutters need some attention. Vandals have destroyed them. 

The park is getting a loan from Lima Superior Credit Union to help pay back some of the grant we were awarded. Since Neal is stepping down as a board member, the names on the loan will be  Bob Szuch, Fred Reichert, Mary Jane Lee. Fred made a motion to go ahead and get the loan and Bob seconded the motion. All were in favor and the motion carried. The question about painting pickle ball lines on the tennis court and Ken checked with OHSSA and there is not problem with doing so. Ken will have to look into the cost and someone who does that. 

Fred made a motion to adjourn and Neal second the motion. All were in favor and the motion carried.
