Charles W. Robinson, Sr. was a U.S. Army veteran
Charles W. Robinson, Sr., age 91, of Lima, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the Springs of Lima.
He was born on November 24, 1933, in Dunkirk, Ohio to the late Omar and Lena (Courad) Robinson. In 1970 Charles married Helen R. Newberry Shepherd and she preceded him in death on September 30, 2022.
Charles is survived by his son, Chuck Robinson of Findlay; three step children: Henry Shepherd, Jr. of Lima, Dave (Nancy) Shepherd of Cridersville and Judy (Don) Hastings of Kenton; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; brother, Henry Robinson; and special niece, Barbie.
He was preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers.
Charles retired from Ford Motor Company of Lima, where he worked as a lift driver. Charles traveled many places with his wife Helen and enjoyed family get togethers.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with David Holbrook officiating. Charles was an Army Veteran and Military Honors will be conducted by the Ada VFW Post #9381 Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service on Thursday, June 19 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
