Dwight Thomas Friesner served in the U.S. Army
Dwight Thomas Friesner, age 83, of LaFayette, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025 at Lima Memorial Health System, surrounded by his family.
He was born on July 6, 1941 in Middle Point, Ohio to Dwight L. and Datha (Fox) Friesner. On February 18, 1967 Tom married Sharon L. (Jolliff) Friesner and she survives in LaFayette.
Also surviving are his five children: Tim (Merideth) Friesner of LaFayette, Ted (Kristy Leen) Friesner of Cedar Falls, IA, Elizabeth (Mark) Wilson of Delphos, Steven (Jessica) Friesner of LaFayette and Keith (Jennifer) Friesner of LaFayette; sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and brother, Harold (Carol) Friesner of Ada.
Tom was preceded in death by his father and mother; stepfather, Ralph Stanz; and three brothers: Bob, Bill and Gerald Friesner.
Tom retired from Ford Motor Company, Lima and was also a farmer on the family farm. He was a member of Lima Baptist Temple. Tom was a U.S. Army veteran who served from 1963 to 1965. He was an avid golfer.
Per Tom’s wishes a graveside service will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2025 at Desenberg Cemetery, State Route 81, Harrod.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the graveside service on Monday, June 9th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lima Baptist Temple, 982 Brower Road, Lima, Ohio 45801 and Bridge Hospice, 15100 Birchaven Lane, Findlay, Ohio 45840.
