Bulldog boys golf opens season early at 7-team Invite

FINDLAY – The Ada High School boys golf team teed off its 2025 season at the earliest point ever by competing in the seven-team Arlington Invitational on the Sycamore Springs Golf Course on July 28.
The Bulldog linksters finished sixth at the season-opening event.
Ada junior ace Brody Rister fired an 18-hole score of 87 to finish tied for third individually.
Owen Green of meet champion Arcadia was the meet medalist by four strokes with a score of 83.
The Redskins posted a team stroke total of 386 to win comfortably by 13 shots.
Waynesfield-Goshen (399 strokes) won a fifth-man scorecard playoff to secure second place over North Baltimore in the seven-team tournament.
Host Arlington finished fourth with 416 strokes, followed by Hardin Northern (450), Ada (452) and Pandora-Gilboa (493).
Leading the other Bulldog scorers was junior Lawson Klingler, who posted a round of 103. Senior Sam Crawford carded a 116, and Slade Gossman added a 146 total.
ARLINGTON INVITATIONAL RESULTS:
386 strokes – Arcadia (Green 83, Cline 87, McCarty 104, Reinhart 112).
399 - Waynesfield-Goshen (Cummings 85, Barnes 95, Thompson 104, Dailey 115).
399 – North Baltimore (Clark 87, South 95, Baltz 106, Bretz 111).
416 – Arlington (Davis 100, Hawkins 104, South 104, Gast 108).
450 – Hardin Northern (Thiel 101, Emerine 101, Lenhart 124, Richardson 124).
452 – ADA (Rister 87, Klingler 103, Crawford 116, Gossman 146).
493 – Pandora-Gilboa (C. Verhoff 104, Wentz 123, Dailey 132, P. Verhoff 134).
Ada plays in the first Blanchard Valley Conference league meet Monday, August 4 at the Findlay Country Club.
