Helen Ruth Doak Wilson worked for Melon Trust Co.
Helen Ruth Doak Wilson, age 96, of Ada, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at home, surrounded by her family.
She was born on March 1, 1929 in Carnegie, Pennsylvania to the late E.D. and Bessie (Foster) Doak. Helen was previously married to W.T. “Buzz” Wilson.
Helen is survived by her three daughters: Maria Sparks of Johnstown, Ellie Laubis of Ada and Judith Camden of Columbus; two grandchildren: Deanna Laubis and Jared Camden; and two nephews: Foster (Pat) Doak and Dennis Doak.
She was preceded in death by her son, David Todd Wilson; and brother, Foster Doak.
Helen retired from Melon Trust Co. where she worked as a secretary and worked as a nurse’s aide for eight years. She was a member of the New Albany United Methodist Church in New Albany, OH. She sang in the church choir for over 55 years. Helen was very involved in the PTA and various booster clubs.
It was her wish to be cremated. Burial of ashes will take place at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at a later date.
