June 2025 rainfall totals from Hardin County OSU Extension
JULY 22 MEDIA RELEASE__Rainfall totals across Hardin County in June 2025 varied. The current concern is the high humidity which is favorable for disease development. In agronomic crops, growers should be scouting for tar spot and gray leaf spot in corn and frogeye leaf spot in soybeans. Vegetable growers should be scouting for powdery mildew.
A new agronomic crop disease forecasting tool has been developed by the Crop Protection Network. It is a weather- based forecasting and risk assessment tool. The tool is very user friendly and growers can access the tool at https://cropprotectionnetwork.org/ and then go to the Tools section of the website.
Complete rainfall data for the 2025 growing season can be found at www.hardin.osu.edu under the Agriculture and Natural Resources program area tab.
