Ottis “Odie” Collingsworth, Jr. for the Ohio Carpenters Labor Union
Ottis “Odie” Collingsworth, Jr., age 69, of Ada, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at Lima Memorial Health System surrounded by his family.
He was born on February 28, 1956 in Lima, Ohio to the late Ottis and Arizona (Risner) Collingsworth, Sr. Odie married Debrah Blankenship on November 2, 2015 and she survives in Ada.
Odie is survived by his two children: Chris Collingsworth of Lakeview and Lindsay Collingsworth of Columbus; three step-children; ten grandchildren; six sisters: Linda Hattery, Glenda (Joe) Overs, Sue Collingsworth, Carol Nevers, Dee Mears, and Carol Thornsbury; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by an infant grandson: Rhilynn Alan Risner; a brother: Todd Risner; and four sisters: Brenda Collingsworth, JoAnn Miller, Margaret Olivieri, and Judith Tackett.
Odie worked for the Ohio Carpenters Labor Union at the Lima Refinery. He enjoyed coming to Alger to pick up his friends and drive the county roads reminiscing about the “Good Old Days.” Most of all he loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial contributions be made to the benevolence of the family in care of Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, P.O. Box 38, Ada, OH 45810.
