Allen County traffic impacts for construction
State Route 81 roundabout construction, bridge replacement
State Route 81 at Thayer Road, east of the city of Lima, will close Monday, Aug. 4, for approximately 90 days for construction of a roundabout at the intersection, and for a bridge replacement between McClure Road and Fisher Road, over Patterson ditch.
TRAFFIC IMPACT
- SR 81 will be closed from just west of Thayer Road to Fisher Road.
- Thayer Road will be closed from just south of SR81 to Sandusky Road.
Detour SR 81: I-75, U.S. 30 to SR 235 back to SR 81 (see map).
Detour for P&G truck access: I-75, SR 309 (exit 125), Mumaugh Road, Reservoir Road, to North Thayer Road.
Thayer Road/Reservoir Road intersection improvement
Thayer Road between Reservoir Road and SR 309/Ada Rd. closed June 16 for approximately 45 days for construction of a roundabout.
TRAFFIC IMPACTS
Local detour to Proctor and Gamble (P&G): SR 309 to Mumbaugh Rd. to Reservoir Rd. This detour for P&G will remain in place through construction of an additional roundabout at SR 81 and Thayer Rd, set to begin on Aug. 4.
Main Street, Harrod, roadway reconstruction
Main Street between First Street and Sixth Street in the village of Harrod will close Monday, Aug. 18, for approximately 120 days for full reconstruction. The work includes resurfacing portions of Napoleon Road in October. No official detour will be posted. Access to properties within the work zone will be maintained.
