Bulldog boys golf 4th at county meet

KENTON – The Ada High School boys golf team finished fourth in the annual five-team Hardin County Invitational at Kenton’s Veterans Memorial Park Golf Course Saturday, August 30.
Host Kenton won the county event with 160 strokes, while Ada came in fourth with 207.
Riverdale finished second at 184 shots, followed by Ridgemont (187), Ada and Hardin Northern (216).
Wildcat Oliver Sneary was tournament medalist with a nine-hole round of 36.
Junior southpaw Brody Rister led Ada with a score of 49. Freshman Arden Shook finished right behind him after carding a 50.
Senior Sam Crawford registered a 57, while Gavin Guyton shot 61.
“These scores are not reflective of where we should be,” said Bulldog first-year head coach Tod Schmidt.
Ada (2-1 dual record) plays Bluffton (7-4) at the Bluffton Golf Course Wednesday, Sept. 3.
