Bulldog volleyball sweeps tri vs. Spencerville and Waynesfield

SPENCERVILLE __The visiting Ada High School volleyball team swept host Spencerville and Waynesfield in a non-league triangular match on Saturday, August 23.
The Bulldog girls improved to 3-0 with the sweep as both matches went the full three sets.
Ada defeated Waynesfield Goshen 25-14, 22-25, 25-11.
- Versatile freshman Téa Griffith mustered nine digs, passed out 15 assists and hammered nine kills to pace the victors.
- Senior Anna Conley and junior Brooklynn Andreasen each knocked down seven kills.
- Junior setter Jaylin St. Laurent dealt five aces, came up with seven digs and passed out 13 assists.
- Junior Dailah Preston came up with five blocks and drilled six kills.
- Senior Alyssa Madison hustled up 18 digs.
Ada then came from behind to beat host and former NWC foe Spencerville
24-26, 25-21, 25-18.
- Junior Alivia Gibson served up three aces, came up with 16 digs and smacked three kills.
- Andreasen made four blocks and smashed seven kills.
- Preston came up with three blocks and knocked down eight kills.
- Senior Conley drilled eight kills.
- St. Laurent dished out 16 assists.
- Griffith passed out 15 assists, made 12 digs and cracked seven kills.
- Senior Madison hustled up 20 digs.
- Senior Alainee Buxton knocked down three kills.
The Ada JV also won both of their matches to improve to 3-0.
Ada plays at Perry (1-4) Tuesday, August 26.
