Unbeaten Bulldog volleyball sweeps tri-match

DOLA__The Ada High School volleyball team swept a non-league tri-match at Hardin Northern with Arlington on Saturday, August 30.

The Bulldog girls improved to 6-0 with the sweep. 

Ada first beat county rival and host Hardin Northern 25-21, 22-25, 25-15. 

Junior Brooklynn Andreasen served four aces and hit five kills vs. HN. 

Versatile freshman Téa Griffith dealt four aces, came up with two blocks, passed out 11 assists, made eight digs and hammered eight kills. 

Junior setter Jaylin St. Laurent dealt a pair of aces, dished out 21 assists and came up with six digs. 

Junior Dailah Preston came up with three blocks and drilled seven kills. 

Senior libero Alyssa Madison mustered 25 digs. 

Junior Alivia Gibson hustled up 13 digs and smacked down seven kills. 

Senior Anna Conley made seven digs and drilled eight kills 

Taylor Price hustled up six digs.

Ada then swept Arlington 25-17, 25-16. 

Andreasen drilled six kills and had one block vs. the Red Devils.

Griffith knocked down four kills, passed out 11 assists and dealt a pair of aces. 

Preston hit four kills and made one block. Gibson contributed three kills, one block and came up with 12 digs. 

Conley compiled two kills, served two aces and made eight digs.

St. Laurent doled out seven assists, served a pair of aces and made six digs. 

Madison hustled up 14 digs. 

The Red Devils rallied to nip HN 24-25, 25-19, 27-25. The Polar Bears dropped to 3-4, while Arlington improved to 3-3 with the results.

The Ada junior varsity also won both of their matches to improve to 6-0.

The Bulldog spikers visit Liberty-Benton (3-1) in the key Blanchard Valley Conference opener on Wednesday, September 3.
