Alger Public Library Fall 2025 programming update
MEDIA RELEASE__The Alger Public Library of The Upper Scioto Valley School District, proudly serves the villages of Roundhead, Alger and McGuffey. The library is located at 100 W Wagner St. Alger, OH 45812.
The library board of trustees currently includes Craig Decker, President; Pam Beverly, Vice-President; Heather Curl, Secretary, Tim LuceWireman, Rhonda Hunt and Maudie Decker. The board meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the library meeting room.

The catalog has not only the holdings of the Alger Library but those of over 100 other Ohio libraries as well. With your library card and a pin number you can order in books, magazines, audiobooks, DVDs, Blu rays and more (including cake pans!).
You may also call or stop in, and the library staff will order any of these items for you. Most items arrive at the library in a week or less. Popular and newly released items may take longer. Staff will let you know when they arrive so you can pick them up, or sign up for text alerts.
WEEKLY PROGRAMMING
Storytimes - Mondays at 5:00 p.m. for all ages
Tuesday - Toddler time at 11:00 a.m.
Crafts - Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m.
Tween Club - Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m.
Drop-In Crafts - Thursdays at 4:00 p.m.
Adult Crafts - Thursday at 5:00 p.m.
MONTHLY PROGRAMMING
Adult Crafting - first Monday of each month at 11:00 a.m.
Adult Book Club - second Monday at 5:00 p.m.
Adult Coloring - third Friday of each month at 2:00 p.m.
OTHER SERVICES
Other library services include online public access computers, printing/copying, faxing, free scanning, and WI-FI.
LIBRARY HOURS
Library hours are Monday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and Friday, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
