Bulldog golf loss vs. Bluffton

BLUFFTON – The Ada High School golf team lost a dual match with local rival and former league foe Bluffton at the Bluffton Golf Club on Wednesday, September 3.
The final match score was 173-208.
Ada fell to 2-2 in dual matches after the defeat. Bluffton improved to 8-7 with the win.
“We were outmatched by a much larger program,” said Ada head coach Tod Schmidt.
Junior Brody Rister paced Ada with a nine-hole score of 48. He finished sixth in the 11-player field.
Freshman Arden Shook was just one shot and one place behind him after posting a 49.
Junior Lawson Klingler finished with a score of 51. Senior Sam Crawford carded a round of 60.
Senior Slade Gossman added a 66.
It was Senior Night for the Pirates as they recognized Nick Lovett, Grady Coonfare and Jayden Shaffer. Lovett fired a 40 to earn match medalist honors.
Ada hosts Arcadia and McComb in a BVC tri-match on Monday, Sept. 8.
