BLUFFTON__The Ada High School boys golf team swept a Blanchard Valley Conference tri-match over Pandora-Gilboa and Arlington at the Bluffton Golf Club on Monday, September 15.
The Bulldogs totaled 192 strokes, followed by the Red Devils (198) and Rockets (211), to win the event.
“Ada’s 192 total was our season-best, even playing one player short,” said Bulldog head coach Tod Schmidt. “Hopefully, we continue to play better and finish the season strong.
“We are making progress,” he added.
Ada junior Brody Rister was match medalist with a solid nine-hole round of 42.
Freshman Arden Shook finished third overall in the 12-player field with a round of 45.
Junior Lawson Klingler carded a 48. Senior Slade Gossman shot a season-low round of 57.
“Our next home match is Monday (Sept. 22), which represents the final career home match for seniors Sam Crawford and Slade Gossman,” said Schmidt.
“I encourage family, friends and classmates to come and support them Monday at 4:30 p.m. at Colonial Golfers Club.”
Ada hosts New Knoxville in a dual match on Sept. 22. The third and final BVC tournament is on Friday, Sept. 19 at Moose Landing Country Club in Ottawa.
