Ricky D. Dunson worked for the U.S. Postal Service
Ricky D. Dunson, age 71, of Kenton, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born on June 17, 1954 to the late Paul and Joan (Howard) Dunson. Rick was previously married to Jackie (Tom) Bartels.
Surviving are his two children: Derek Dunson of Kenton and Angela (Jon) DeRolph of Glenford; and two grandsons: Wyatt and Waylon.
Rick was preceded in death by his half-brother, John Paul Dunson.
Rick retired from the U.S. Postal Service, where he was a rural mail carrier. He also farmed and raised livestock. He was a member of the Heritage Christian Union Church, Forest. Rick was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger with Pastor Ken Gray officiating. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger with hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
