Ada Police find "no overt threats" in mass email from former student
OCT 15 MEDIA RELEASE__On October 14, 2025, the Ada Police Department was notified by the Ohio Northern University Public Safety Department regarding a mass email distributed to university faculty and students by a former student.
Officers from the Ada Police Department reviewed the email and accompanying documentation and determined that no overt threats were made toward any individuals or groups. However, out of an abundance of caution, officers increased routine patrols on and around the university campus.
The Ada Police Department remains committed to working collaboratively with our public safety partners to ensure the continued safety and security of residents, students, and visitors within the Village of Ada.
