Bulldog volleyball seeded 3rd in district drawing

The Ada High School volleyball team was seeded third in the eight-team, Div. VI Northwest 5 District drawing held on Sunday, October 5.
The Bulldog girls (14-7) will host fifth seed Lima Central Catholic (11-8) in the sectional finals on Thursday, October 16 at 6 p.m.
Fourth seed Columbus Grove (9-10) will play sixth seed Spencerville (8-14) in the other lower half sectional final at Ada on Oct. 16 in the second match at approximately 8 p.m.
The Ada/LCC and Grove/Spencerville winners will meet in the district semifinals at Wapakoneta on Tuesday, Oct. 21.
Midwest Athletic Conference (MAC) co-leader St. Henry (16-4) was seeded first in the district. The Redskins will likely face second-seeded MAC rival Marion Local (13-8) in the other district semifinal showdown at Ottoville Oct. 21.
SH hosts eighth-seeded Delphos Jefferson (4-17) in the first round. Marion Local plays seven seed Wayne Trace (8-11) in their opening match at St. Henry Oct. 16.
The district finals will be held Thursday, Oct. 23 in Ottoville at 6 p.m.
Ada received a favorable draw to potentially reach the district finals for the first time since the 2017 squad won districts to advance to regionals. The top two seeds from the MAC are in the upper half of the draw and will have to face off in the semis.
The NW 5 district champion advances to the region 24 semifinals vs. the Div. VI Southwest 1 district champs.
