George H. Henderson was a U.S. Marine
George H. Henderson, age 95, of Ada, passed away on September 30, 2025 at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
He was born on May 16, 1930 in Doylestown, Ohio to the late Walter R. and Dorothy (King) Henderson, Sr. On March 4, 1972 George married Candace A. “Candy” Neff and she preceded him in death on November 19, 2023.
George retired as a general painting contractor. He was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran and a member of the American Legion Post of Ada. George was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Findlay.
George is survived by a son, Richard Henderson of California; a step son, Donald (LeeAnn) Havird of Samford, FL; a step daughter, Lynn (George) Coleman of Mesa, AZ; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and seven step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Henderson; a daughter, Doretta Senart; and three brothers: Walter R. Henderson, Richard E. Henderson and John G. Henderson.
It was his wish to be cremated. Burial of ashes will be in the Dayton National Cemetery.
