Marshall L. Carman was a U.S. Army Veteran
Marshall L. Carman, age 87, of Lima, passed away at his home on Saturday, October 4, 2025, surrounded by his family.
He was born on March 20, 1938 in Lima, Ohio to the late Doris Benjamin and Rosemary (Pepple) Carman. Marshall married Caroline Josephine Brown on March 4, 1962 and she preceded him in death on December 20, 1997.
Marshall is survived by his four children: Debbie (David) Hougland of Grove City, Mike (Lisa) Carman of Lima, John Carman of New Bremen, and Carol (Mick) Bolon of Lima; twenty-one grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren; and a brother, Craig (Jenny) Carman of Alger.
He was preceded in death by infant daughter, Elizabeth “Beth” Carman.
Marshall retired from Ford Motor Company – Lima, where he worked as a maintenance supervisor for thirty-five years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1956 to 1959. Marshall was a former member of the Maysville United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Pastor Charles Fuerstenau officiating. Burial of remains will be in Carman Cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 19 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
Memorial contributions be made to the Maysville United Methodist Church.
